CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Some 20 more modernized public utility jeepneys (PUJs) will ply major routes in Nueva Ecija province.
The Zaragoza Ramstar Transport Service Cooperative (ZRTSC) launched on Tuesday the fully air-conditioned fleet for said lines.
With the additional units, 30 modern PUJs of the ZRTSC will now serve commuters along the Cabanatuan City - Tarlac City via Sta. Rosa, Zaragoza, La Paz; Cabanatuan City - Zaragoza via Sta. Rosa and Tarlac-Zaragoza via La Paz routes.
ZRTSC Chairman Rodolfo Nueda said commuters in Nueva Ecijas can now enjoy comfortable rides.
This was made possible through the efforts of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and other participating agencies in the government's Public Utility Vehicles Modernization Program.
LTFRB Regional Director Nasrudin Talipasan said that ZRTSC has been expanding its fleet in support of the modernization program.
The modern PUJs are environment-friendly, safe, secure, comfortable and provide access to persons with disabilities.
