The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has extended the deadline for the 2023 filing of annual financial statements (AFS) to provide sufficient time for external auditors to produce high-quality financial reports.
Pursuant to SEC Memorandum Circular 1 Series of 2023, the extension of the deadline will depend on the last numerical digit of taxpayers’ SEC registration or license numbers.
Considering the new filing schedules, the SEC also extended the deadline for the late filing of AFS from June 5 to July 3.
Please be guided accordingly.
