CEBU has progressively adapted to the digital age and has become a thriving hub for information technology (IT) companies. As the world becomes increasingly digital, the demands for more creative and digitally inclined people continue to grow. More career opportunities lie ahead for Cebuanos as Inchcape PLC has opened Inchcape Digital Delivery Center (DDC), its first IT branch in Cebu City, at IT Park on Jan. 26, 2023.

The DDC was established under Inchcape PLC, an automotive retail distributor of well-known car brands such as BMW, Jaguar Land Rover, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, and other popular brands. The company operates in 40 markets and territories, and as the company grows and expands to new heights, so does its information technology service.

Inchcape PLC is the leading independent multi-brand global automotive distributor, with strong fundamentals and significant growth opportunities ahead. As the world grows increasingly digital, Inchcape PLC formed its own digital delivery service aimed to better cater to its customers and brand partners from different countries around the world.

The company first established its digital delivery centers in Bogota, Colombia, and Manila, Philippines, and it now has branched out to Cebu City as well. DDC head, Ten Bartolome, shared that the company saw Cebu as one of the fastest growing IT hubs in the Philippines, thus ultimately deciding to set up a base in IT Park.

She explained: “We saw an opportunity at IT Park. We witnessed how Cebu’s IT businesses, and industries have boomed over the years, and we became interested.”

Bartolome lauded the Cebuano employees in their digital team as some of the best performers in their platforms, and DDC is eager to reach out to more talents in the Visayas region to join its digital team.

The company is eyeing to hire 100 applicants over the year in the hopes of scouting talents who can hone their skills and become a part of the company’s growth.
