New Fire Truck for BFP Murcia

A NEW fire truck was turned over to the Bureau of Fire Protection in the town of Murcia, Negros Occidental as part of the fire prevention measures by the BFP, the Local Government of Murcia, and the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental.

March, being the warmest month in the Philippines is considered Fire Prevention Month, thus the turnover of the new fire the truck was very timely, particularly in the town of Murcia.

Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Bureau of Fire Protection Region 6 Director FCSupt. Jerry Candido, and Murcia Mayor Gerry Rojas led the inauguration and turnover of the brand new Hino – 500 Firetruck to BFP Murcia Fire Station.

The activity was recently held at Murcia Covered Court, in the presence of 3rd District Board Member Manuel Frederick Ko, Abang Lingkod Partylist Representative Stephen Paduano, Murcia Vice Mayor Johnny Reosura, Negros Occidental Provincial Fire Marshal Supt. Kim Celisio, and BFP Murcia Acting Fire Marshal SFO3 Anne Bastian, among others.

The fire truck was designed to have the highest operational uptime in the field, which is expected to carry out tasks more efficiently and reliably during fire emergencies.

The Governor urged the recipient of this brand-new fire truck - the BFP Murcia to use and maintain the vehicle properly.

He also urged the Murciahanons to be cautious and adopt the necessary measures to prevent the occurrence of fire incidents now that the month of March is indeed the warmest temperature leading to the summer season and also the Lenten season.
