TWO most wanted persons, one of them a priority target in an anti-drug campaign, were arrested in separate manhunt operations here in Zamboanga Peninsula, police officials said.
Arrested were Arsi Jumaari, the fifth most wanted person and listed as priority target in the anti-drug campaign of the local police, and Jeffrey Lamoste, 30, the fifth most wanted in Mutia, Zamboanga del Norte.
Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, said Jumaari was arrested around 4:43 p.m. Monday along Governor Lim Avenue downtown Zamboanga City.
Lorenzo said that the suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of carnapping issued by a court of this city dated September 29, 2016.
Police Colonel Glenn Dulawan, Zamboanga del Norte police director, said Lamoste was around 11:05 a.m. Monday in Poblacion village, Mutia town.
Dulawan said that Lamoste has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 with P200,000 recommended bail dated November 8, 2022.
He said the arrested suspect is now under the custody of Mutia Municipal Police Station for proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
