Dear Dr. Fritz,

Good day to you. I don’t understand why I find myself always irritable and angry lately. I am still in my mid 40’s and yet, I feel that I am easily upset with the things around me. Sometimes, my family would tease me that I am menopausal even if I am a man. What could be the reasons here? What should I do? I am trying to be calm. But, I still get myself into outbursts. Please help me.

Thank you for your response. More power.

========

Dear Angry Benny,

There are a lot of reasons why you get so angry so suddenly. Of course, if you have frustrations with things going around you, it’s just natural to be upset. However, there are also medical conditions that can fuel your rage. The problem is, I don’t really know your medical history. So, I will just list some medical conditions that may or may not hit you considering your age. Here are some...

1. Stroke

This usually happens after a stroke due to damage to the part of the brain that controls your emotions.

2. Depression

Well, this comes if you are facing some stress in your life right now.

3. Diabetes

If your blood sugar goes low, that can bring some behavior changes in you.

4. Epilepsy

I don’t know if you are epileptic. But, if you do, a simple partial seizure can mess with your emotions and you will feel angry.

Opps! We are out of space for now. Let’s finish this next time. Until then!
