Where to have breakfast or brunch in Davao City

A FILLING breakfast or brunch is a great way to start the day. While Davao City does not have a lively breakfast or brunch scene yet, there are places that I like to go to if I was to enjoy pancakes, waffles, or silog meals. For this week, you might want to drop by these food establishments:

Before Weekend

The food trailer just opened this month offering comforting breakfast bowls, sandwiches, and platters. I would recommend that you go for the platters if you are coming as a group. But I would also recommend you try their beef tapa, hashbrown sandwich, and chicken and waffles. Being located inside Hid'n, you would also not worry about finding a good cup of coffee.

Before Weekend is located inside Hid'n Coffee along N. Torres St., Obrero (The road at the back of Abreeza). They are open from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday to Sunday.

Euro Baker Classic

Being one of Davao's well-known bakeries, Euro Baker opened a few years back its bakery cafe offering all-day breakfast. My regular order here is their Breakfast Platter, which has spam, eggs, corned beef, garlic rice, and tomato slices. I recommend you also try their croissants and cronuts, if they are available during your visit.

Euro Baker Classic is located at the corner of Rizal St. and C. Bangoy St. The bakery cafe opens as early as 8:00 a.m.

The Bloom Coffee & Start-Up Space

Bloom is a great place to have breakfast and quickly transition to work mode. It offers fast WiFi and ample power sockets for those planning to spend their morning here. Their breakfast options are quite good too. Their Chicken Tocino and Breakfast Quesadillas are what I would recommend.

The Bloom Coffee & Start-Up Space is located in Ecoland, fronting the Indonesian Consulate. They are open as early as 6 a.m.
