IPM-CDC qualified anew as garbage hauler bidder

THE Bacolod City's current garbage hauler, IPM-Construction and Development Corporation (IPM-CDC), qualified again as a bidder for the P183,999,000 approved budget for the contract (ABC) for the collection, hauling, and disposal of garbage in the city.

Mary Jean Ramos, chairman of the Bids and Awards Committee (BAC), said Wednesday, March 15, that the bidding was participated in by IPM-CDC and Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation on Tuesday, March 14, at the Bacolod City Government Center.

She said the IPM-CDC passed all the legal, technical, and financial documents, while the Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation failed in its eligibility.

She added that the IPM-CDC’s bid, amounting to P156,399,150, will run from May to December 2023.

Ramos noted that the Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation was disqualified after they failed to provide the documents on the requirement of compactor trucks with a minimum of 10 trucks, and the units must not be older than three years.

"They only provided us six units of trucks," Ramos said.

After the bidding, she said the Technical Working Group (TWG) will conduct a mandatory post-qualification evaluation to scrutinize IPM-CDC's documents.

For the management and operation of the sanitary landfill in Barangay Felisa with the ABC’s P64 million, Ramos said the bidding was also participated in by IPM-CDC and Metrowaste Solidwaste Management Corporation.

She said the IPM-CDC also passed all the legal, technical, and financial documents with a bid amounting to P63,998,000 that will run from May to December 2023, while Metrowaste still failed in its eligibility or the technical requirements.*
