CANDABA This municipality received a new modern fire truck from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG).

The brand new fire engine was officially turned over to the local Bureau of Fire Protection BFP on Wednesday.

Senior Inspector Francisco Sergio Jr., municipal fire marshal, said the fire truck has a capacity of 1,000 gallon and complete equipment.

“Magagamit natin ito sa mabilis na pagpatay ng mga malalaking sunog sa Candaba at kung kakailanganin, sa mga kalapit-bayan din natin,” he said.

Mayor Rene Maglanque thanked DILG Secretary Benhur Abalos for choosing Candaba as one of the recipients in the program.

The municipality is one of 74 local government units nationwide which received modern fire trucks.

“Pangatlong fire truck na namin ito sa Candaba at malaking tulong ito sa disaster preparedness, lalo na sa rescue at firefighting capabilities ng ating mga bumbero,” Maglanque said.
