Golf tourney celebrates Levy P. Laus’ legacy

The 2nd Levy P. Laus Memorial Cup kicked-off Thursday morning, March 16, at the Pradera Verde in Lubao town. 
Around 150 players — all are friends, partners and customers of Laus Group of Companies (LGC)— gathered to celebrate the legacy of the late visionary and socio-civic advocate, Levy P. Laus, through a day-long golf tournament.

LUBAO The legacy of the late Levy P. Laus, founder of Lau's Group of Companies (LGC) and socio-civic leader, was celebrated on Thursday through the 2nd Levy P. Laus Memorial Golf Cup at the Pradera Verde in Barangay Prado Siongco here.

Some 150 participants — mostly family friends , andpartners and customers of LausAutoGroup — participated in the tournament to pay tribute to Laus ahead of his 4th year death anniversary on April 25.

Laus’ son, LGC President Paul Tristan, said the event was launched in 2021 to keep the memory of their father alive among friends and business partners.

“Being an avid golfer, we thought that dedicating a golf tournament to our LGC founder could be one of the best ways to always remember him,” the younger Laus said.

He added that the 18-hole sporting event is also charitable cause as all donations gathered from it will be given to the Levy P. Laus Scholarship Foundation.

“Our father left a legacy of good will and friendship and we want to carry the torch by continuously sending children to school through the Levy P. Laus Scholarship Foundation,” he said.

Joining Paul Tristan during the ceremonial tee-off were his siblings, LGC Executive Directors Levy Adrian and Diorella.
