THE Bacolod City Council has approved a resolution congratulating Sidrey Mel Flores for topping the March 2023 Medical Technologist Licensure Examination (MTLE).
The resolution, authored by Councilor Em Ang, was approved during the regular session of the City Council on Wednesday afternoon, March 15.
Ang said Flores, a Bacolodnon born, raised, and residing in Barangay Villamonte, has brought honor and prestige to this city by passing the March 2023 MTLE with a rating of 92.10 percent and placing 1st among the 6,165 examinees.
She said Flores graduated valedictorian in secondary education from the University of St. La Salle Integrated School. He is the first student to graduate a Summa Cum Laude in Bacolod of Science in Medical Technologist from the Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod.
"He has undoubtedly made a mark through his exemplary scholastic record and outstanding achievement, drive, determination, and leadership, and these attributes are worthy of emulation and serve as an inspiration for young people to aspire for excellence in their chosen field of endeavor," she added.
Flores is the son of Barangay Captain Rommel Flores and Venus Aldeguer-Flores of Barangay Villamonte.
