BARANGAY Puey Captain Leofer “JR” Cobrado, II joins Ata elders in wearing bahag during the Sinigayan Festival opening in Sagay City, advocating for the passage of indigenous cultures to the young generation.

In solidarity with the Ata Community of their barangay, Barangay Puey Captain Leofer "JR" Cobrado, II wore a bahag during the city parade in this year's Sinigayan Festival opening. Beyond just a show, Cobrado hopes to promote love and appreciation of the culture and encourage more young members of the Ata community to follow suit and not shy away from their indigenous practices and traditions.

As an advocate for the passage of indigenous cultures to the young generation, Cobrado aims to preserve the indigenous practices and traditions of the Ata Community. He believes that the love for nature and culture begins in Sagay, where their community is located. (PR)
