Senator Marcos commits P5M for Mexico livelihood

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO Senator Imee Marcos committed P5 million for the agricultural and livelihood projects of Mexico town.

The senator attended the Solo Parent’s Caravan 2023 in municipality recently.

She was joined by Mayor Teddy Tumang and Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda.

The event is aimed to look into the status of the town's solo parents and provide an avenue for discussing their respective concerns.

The municipal government of Mexico said that some 600 indigent solo parents from the 43 barangays received P5,000 cash under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The funds for the financial aid were coursed through the senator's office.

The provincial government distributed food packs to the residents during the event.

Tumang expressed his gratitude to the senator for her support to the town's programs.

The senator in return thanked the people of Mexico for their support to the Marcos family, especially President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr.

Joining Tumang in welcoming Marcos were Councilor Susana “Site” Siron, Councilor Trina Dizon-Guevarra and the barangay chairpersons of the town.

The pay-out of the financial assistance was spearheaded by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Mexico with the assistance of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) and the DSWD RO-III.
