DEPARTMENT of Science and Technology-Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (DOST-Pagasa) weather forecast for Parada Dabawenyo 2023 will be cloudy.
On March 17, 2023, DOST-Pagasa issued a special weather forecast for Dabawenyos for March 18, 2023.
“Davao City will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies mostly in the afternoon or early evening with isolated light rain showers and thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms,” DOST-Pagasa said.
In a detailed forecast, DOST-Pagasa said that on the day of the event, the total cloud cover is cloudy, while the wind speed is 4 meters per second (MPS) east.
The agency said the average temperature is estimated to be 24 degrees celsius (°C) with a maximum temperature of 31°C.
Also, the relative humidity is 80 percent while the chance of rainfall is 38 percent.
Pagasa said if people encounter emergency cases or if a person collapses, they may move the person to a shady spot and lie him or her down with legs elevated. If the person is conscious, have them sip cool water; remove clothing, apply cool water to the skin and provide ventilation; apply ice packs to the armpits, wrists, ankles, and groins; and bring them to a hospital immediately.
Meanwhile, Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) Chief Angel Sumagaysay reminded Dabawenyos and visitors to strictly follow the security protocol during the event.
During any public events, people are not allowed to wear backpacks while jackets, ball caps, and sunglasses should be taken off when going through checkpoints and entrances.
Dabawenyos are also advised not to bring umbrellas, aqua flasks, sharp objects, illegal drugs and deadly weapons, and alcoholic beverages.
Littering is also prohibited, and civilians are not allowed to wear any law enforcement uniform. KSD
