A DRUG suspect considered to be a regional high value individual was arrested during a raid conducted by members of the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) in Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City last Saturday night, March 18, 2023.
Seized from June Albert Ylaya, alias Pangit, were 470 grams of shabu with a standard drug price of around P3.1 million.
The group of Lt. Col. Dindo Juanito Alaras, head of the CDEU, led the operation which took place at 9:45 p.m.
Police said Ylaya, who lives in the Chinese cemetery in Barangay Carreta, is on their illegal drugs watchlist.
According to Alaras, Ylaya was first arrested in 2002. However, his name has been coming up in recent arrests, the police officer said.
During the operation, police also arrested Roberto Cado Ludong.
Alaras said the two men are said to be responsible for the series of killings in Barangay Carreta.
Ylaya will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Also on Saturday night, more than P100,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized when members of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 7 raided a lodging house along Panganiban St. in Barangay Kalubihan, Cebu City. (BBT / PJB)
