THE San Remigio Properties captured the championship in the Elite Basketball Cebu Recreational Division with an 84-77 victory over Shetzue’s Razor in the finals last Sunday at the Visayan Glass gym in Barangay Guadalupe.
Emmanuel Villamor took charge as he tallied 32 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals to help the team of businessman and sportsman Mark Ynoc annex the title. Marlone Batac also played a pivotal role as he had 10 points, seven boards, four assists, and two steals. Lyle Sumayang and Nelson Peralta also had nine apiece.
It was a close game all throughout as the two teams scratched and clawed for the title. San Remigio was head by just a point heading to the last period and then, pulled out all the stops down the stretch to hold off Shetzue’s Razor.
Khyle Ruedas led Shetzue’s Razor with 17 points, four boards, three assists, and two steals, while Kim Trigue had 16.
