DTI holds business seminar for women

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Trade and Industry Region III (DTI-3) continues to empower women through entrepreneurial enhancement programs.

As part of Women’s Month celebration, DTI-3 is hosting series of free seminars in different parts of the region.

In Tarlac province, a seminar on Entrepreneurial Mind-setting Seminar and Business Opportunity on Handicrafts, Home Furnishings, Processed Food, and Agri-business were conducted at the SM City Tarlac.

A total of 80 students, employees, potential entrepreneurs, and micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (MSMEs) joined the activity.

Women entrepreneurs from Tarlac shared their insights on business opportunities as well as their entrepreneurial journey during the seminar.

“We hope this activity and the sharing of the resource speakers have inspired the participants to become entrepreneurs. We feel that they (speakers) represent most of the would-be and existing MSMEs,” Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist Ana Marie Tabamo said.

After the talk and open forum, the participants shared what they learned from the seminar.
