JOINT police and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) operatives have arrested two watch-listed drug suspects in an anti-drug operation in Zamboanga City, the police reported Tuesday, March 21, 2023.
Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Marben Estrellado, 39, and Roy Piedad, 41.
Lorenzo said that the suspects were arrested in a buy-bust operation around 6:01 p.m. Monday, March 20, at Sitio Imburnal in Santa Catalina village.
He said that Piedad was already arrested by PDEA agents in an anti-drug operation in 2018.
He said seized from the two suspects were some 50 grams of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets with P340,000, a coin purse, and P1,000 marked money.
He said the suspects were placed under the custody of ZCPO’s Station 11 while charges are set to be filed against them for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (SunStar Zamboanga)
