CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Municipal Government of Santa Rita hosted an event highlighting gender equality and inclusivity the other day.
This as part of its celebration of International Women’s Month.
The town hosted the 19th Women with Disabilities Day and the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO) Livelihood Caravan at the Municipal Hall here.
Provincial Focal Person for Persons with Disability Mary Ann Zamora led the event themed “WE for Gender Equality and Inclusive Society”.
The event aimed to promote gender sensitivity, equality, and representation as well as the participation of women and persons with disabilities in the affairs of government and the community as productive members in nation-building.
The event also featured training on cosmetology where the participants were given startup kits for their livelihood.
