A GROUNDBREAKING ceremony for the construction of the 90 ln.m Himoga-an (Brgy. Puey) Bridge III and the ceremonial turnover for the construction of the 120 ln.m Himoga-an Bridge took place last March 22. The event was attended by Vice Mayor Bebo Cueva, Governor Eugenio Bong Lacson, and other government officials.
During the ceremony, Vice Mayor Bebo Cueva expressed his gratitude to be a part of this momentous occasion. He thanked the Department of Agriculture - Philippine Rural Development Project, the World Bank, the provincial government of Negros Occidental, and the Local Government of Sagay for their contributions to the project.
This infrastructure project is expected to greatly impact the lives of the community, particularly in terms of providing food security. The new bridge will benefit almost 20,000 people from different communities, farmers, and students.
