Free kapon and ligate services support rabies awareness month

TALISAY City Agriculture Office held the 1st District Wide Libre Kapon and Ligate last March 21, in partnership with the Provincial Veterinary Office, Abanse Negrense District Animal Health Center-3, and Victorias City Animal Hospital. The initiative served a total of 22 male and female dogs and cats in the city, in support of Rabies Awareness Month.

Mayor Neil Lizares expressed his gratitude to the partner organizations, including ANDAHC-3 Team headed by Dr. Ruffa Gersaniva, Victorias City Veterinary Office headed by Dr John Michael Cabuguason, and Talisay City Agriculture Office with OIC, Katherine Day Gemotra. The joint initiative aims to encourage responsible pet ownership and control the population of dogs in the province.

The event underscores the importance of Rabies Awareness Month, as well as the need for responsible pet ownership. By providing free kapon and ligate services, the initiative supports the control of the dog population in the city.

The success of the event is a testament to the efforts of the participating organizations and their commitment to animal welfare and responsible pet ownership.
