IT'S great to be back again in a paradise called Boracay on the island of Malay, Aklan.

The island has maintained its beauty, which regularly attracts and gathers the influx of domestic and foreign tourists who love the scenery of the clear blue waters, combined with the white powdery sand, and with people who either stroll around or swim in the sea in style, wearing colorful and skimpy swimwear.

It's already a hot summer on the island.

The roads were already concrete and given to the past national leadership, who had the courage to implement the closure of the island to rehabilitate and improve the road network, from which the locals and tourists have benefited in terms of a safe and comfortable environment.

Is it expensive to travel to Boracay?

Planning can make your vacation amazing because you can choose which hotel, lodging, and other accommodations fit your budget.

You can choose the more classy, the regular, or the cheapest but practical preference.

You can get to the island from your point of origin either by land, sea, or air.

Those who come to the island by plane will either come from Cebu or Manila. The Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in Caticlan is already a busy installation due to the coming in and out of tourists. It's good that Cebu Pacific and other airlines operate frequently in this destination.

Others come with a combination of boarding a fast craft or a roro vessel and a land trip going to Caticlan.

When you get to the Caticlan port, just prepare your P150 for the environmental fee, P150 for the terminal fee, and P50 for the boat ride.

There are vans, trikes, and even single motorcycles that can bring you to your hotel or any kind of accommodation.

But if you are booked in a hotel, vans are already operating on the island that are being used to transport hotel guests to the beaches, malls, restaurants, and eateries, among others.

Boracay has enhanced the facilities and services that its locals and tourists can enjoy.

Modernized minibuses also operated in the area. But one has to purchase travel cards with a minimum of P300 for fares.

It's actually up to you how you will be creative in your travels.

The island is big, and there is more to enjoy in this paradise.

If you want to come, just plan and connect with the right people for your accommodation, travel itinerary, and transportation.*
