CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon yesterday issued a public advisory regarding one individual named Mark Santos who is allegedly pretending to be connected with its Regional Technical Office.
DA said Santos is pretending to be connected with Regional Technical Director Arthur Dayrit and has been contacting suppliers for personal transactions.
The agency clarified that Santos is not associated with any office of the DA Central Luzon.
Dayrit's office said it does not tolerate any unauthorized government transactions.
The DA added that its offices and personnel adhere to the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (RA 6713) which prohibits solicitations and illegal undertakings.
DA is encouraging the public to report any similar incidents by a person or group and verify the authenticity of messages with the DA Central Luzon by calling the Regional Agriculture and Fisheries Information Section (RAFIS) at 045-961-1209.
