THE body of a dead man was found floating on the river in Barangay Lungsodaan in Candijay town, Bohol Province Friday night, March 24, 2023.
Corporal Jugimael Boysilio, desk officer of the Candijay Police Station, told Superbalita Cebu the victim was 33-year-old Bernard Mendoza, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Pagahat in the same town.
The police officer said they received the alarm at 11:10 p.m. from Haide Ayuban who works in the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office.
He said they are still investigating the incident to determine why and how Mendoza ended up in the water.
So far, Boysilio said, the only information they received was the result of the examination the doctor conducted on the body, which confirmed that the victim drowned. (BBT)
