NEGROS Occidental Fifth District Rep. Emilio "Dino" Yulo III said he cannot choose his opponent in the next polls.
He also said that he has no knowledge about the reports that Dina Arroyo-Tantoco will be running against him in the 2025 elections.
"We don't need a passport to go around the Fifth District," Yulo said.
His reaction stemmed from reports that it will be "Dino versus Dina" in the Fifth District.
Dina Arroyo-Tantoco is the daughter of the late Fifth District Rep. Ignacio "Iggy" Arroyo and niece of former Rep. Marilou Arroyo, who lost to Yulo in the May 2022 elections.
Arroyo-Tantoco is reportedly visiting the Fifth District, and the latest was last week, where she donated a firetruck in a barangay in Himamaylan City.
She is married to Paolo Tantoco, the administration manager of Rustan Commercial Corporation, which is owned by his family.
"It is better to serve the people first and be satisfied with our performance," Yulo said.
