A SENIOR high school teacher in the northern town of Catmon, Cebu is facing two counts of rape after he allegedly sexually assaulted one of his students from a neighboring town last Friday, March 24, 2023.
Lieutenant Teofilo Manlanatz, chief of the Catmon Police Station, in an interview with radio dySS, said they already filed the case against the 38-year-old accused, who happens to be married.
The 15-year-old student said she arrived at the school around 6:30 a.m. last Friday.
She said the teacher called her from inside the classroom.
A few minutes later, she said, he went to the bathroom and told her to follow him.
The alleged victim said the accused shut the door as soon as she entered and proceeded to have sex with her.
The alleged victim said this wasn’t their first sexual encounter because the teacher also allegedly raped her a few days before.
The accused, who is still detained, told police the alleged victim is his girlfriend. (GPL, PJB)
