THE SunStar media group bagged 10 journalism awards in the 10th Globe Media Excellence Awards (GMEA) held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City Friday, March 31, 2023.
Of the number, SunStar Cebu got seven while SunStar Davao got three awards.

GMEA has been a platform for recognizing the achievements of storytellers in the Philippines since its inception in 2012.
The awards aim to encourage journalists and social media advocates to produce stories that promote social good and advocate for the common good.
The 15 categories in this year's GMEA are anchored on three Globe sustainability pillars: Digital Nation, Care for People, and Care for the Environment.
These pillars represent the company's commitment to achieving a balance among economic growth, social development, and environmental conservation. (MKG)
