CITY OF SAN FERNANDO The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) in Region 3 has recently announced that 30 Lakbay Alalay stations, located in major national roads in Central Luzon, are now ready to assist motorists and commuters during the upcoming four-day weekend.
DPWH Region 3 Director Roseller Tolentino cited the need of these motorist assistance centers to ensure that road users receive the help they need in case of emergencies or other road-related concerns.
With the easing of COVID-19 restrictions, the agency said it is expected that more travelers will be on the road this year.
Equipped with competent personnel, necessary tools, and equipment, the assistance centers are expected to provide prompt assistance for common issues such as flat tires, overheating engines, and other mechanical problems, as well as first aid.
The following are the locations of the Lakbay Alalay Stations set up by the different District Engineering Offices across the region:

In order to ensure that motorists are safe on the roads, the supervising staff of the Lakbay Alalay centers will also be working closely with the local police, rescue teams, and other government entities.
The DPWH encouraged drivers to observe traffic laws and regulations and use caution when driving at night or in poor visibility conditions. (RGN)
