BAGO City's student-athletes paid a visit to Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, last April 3, after winning gold medals in various sports events at the Negros Occidental Palarong Panlalawigan 2023.

Among the winners were taekwondo champs Nadine Tambanillo and Matthew Levi Cabahug, who will represent the province in the upcoming regional meet this month.

Athletics gold medalists RJ Medina, John Micco CastaƱeda, Marienne Villanueva, Reygie Sumacolob Jr., Kharl Allen Ecija and Prince Heindrex Trayco also joined the visit. They were accompanied by their coaches and chaperones, and will likewise compete in the regional meet.

The softball secondary girls champions from Ramon Torres National High School (RTNHS) were also part of the winning delegation.

Composed of Claire Olarte, Alrhea Key Palzario, Trixie Ann Ganciar, Rhaine Elijah Timbad, Princess Mazee Torre, Jenny Cabanera, Janin Pajotal, Jacey Nadine Pajotal, Joylyn Caballero, Maria Kimberly Alipato, Julie Ann Buenafe, and Biel Coline Tanaman, they were accompanied by their coaches, chaperone, and trainers.

They will represent the province in the upcoming regional meet as well.

The visit was attended by Councilors Ma. Josefa Matti, Jake Patrick Torres, and Ma. Femmy Alvarez-Martir, and DepEd Division of Bago Sports Coordinator Leo Dayot.

The student-athletes' outstanding performance in their respective sports events is a testament to the city's continuous support in developing the skills and talents of its youth.
