A DISPATCHER was shot to death at Purok Kagaykay, Barangay 2 here in Bacolod City, on Saturday, April 8.

The fatality was identified as Stephen Bachoco III, 32, of Purok Tahong, Barangay 2.

Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said they are looking at illegal drugs as the possible motive for the killing, as the victim was listed on the drugs watchlist of other law enforcement units in the city.

He also said that the victim was previously convicted for illegal drugs and was jailed at the New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City.

According to the police, the victim, who was supposed to meet somebody for an alleged transaction, was followed by the unidentified suspect and shot.

Bachoco tried to run, but the suspect finished him off with a gunshot to the head, police said.

Recovered from the scene fired bullets from a .45 caliber firearm.
