THE 27 candidates of the Lin-ay sang Negros are set to seize the limelight at this year's Pana-ad sa Negros Festival, which will kick off on April 17.

In their recent photo shoot, the 27 candidates highlighted the endangered species in the province, like the Visayan warty pig, Visayan leopard cat, Negros bleeding heart pigeon, Visayan spotted deer, and the Visayan hornbill.

This is in line with their efforts to raise awareness about the threats that are happening to the province's natural wonders.

Let’s take a look at our 27 Lin-ay sang Negros candidates, as they both serve beauty and purpose as they aim not only for the most coveted crown but also to save our forests.

Get to know more of our Lin-ays and their beloved local government units at the pre-pageant events: the press presentation and talent competition on April 14; the festival costume competition on April 16; and the corporate day and preliminary question and answer session on April 18, all at Ayala Malls Capitol Central.

The grandest coronation night was set for April 21 at the Panaad Stadium at 7 p.m.*
