Matod ni Cathy Yang, first vice president ug head sa Group Corporate Communications sa PLDT ug Smart, mo-file sila og request sa DICT ug NTC alang sa paglugway sa rehistrasyon sa Subscriber Identity Module (SIM).
“We are filing this request to help give ample time to all mobile users, particularly the marginalized sectors and those located in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas of the country, to register their SIMs,” matod ni Yang.

“Kung sa tutuusin nagaganap na ngayon ang pagbuhos ng registrations ng subscribers. Over the past 10 days, nag a-average na po kami ng 400,000 new registrations. nanggaling po kami sa average na 200,000 to 300,000 a day. So, umusbong na talaga ang pag rerehistro with less than 3 weeks to go, and our Sim registration portal is seamlessly processing these registrations,” dugang ni Yang sa iyang chat sa Superbalita Cebu.
“We are here to continuously support the government in its SIM Registration initiative. While we have led in the number of registrations to date with about 46% of our total number of subscribers already registered, and which is higher than industry average, we see the need to give subscribers more time to secure the government IDs required to register their SIMs,” matod niya.
Samtang ang Globe, sa ilang giluwatang pamahayag sa Abril 11, 2023, niawhag usab sa kagamhanan sa paglugway sa deadline sa registration.
“Given these issues, we appeal to the government to extend the SIM registration process to give our customers more time to get their required government IDs and input the required information on our site,” matod sa Globe.

“Despite these efforts, we have seen a low registration count primarily due to the lack of valid government IDs, and challenged digital literacy. Given these issues, we appeal to the government to extend the SIM registration process to give our customers more time to get their required government IDs and input the required information on our site” dugang sa Globe.
Sa Abril 10, ang Smart nitali na og 32, 479,499 kun 48.99 porsiyento sa ilang subcribers samtang ang Globe nakarehistro og 27,783, 028 kun 32.03% sa ilang subscribers sa samang petsa.
Samtang ang DITO nitali og 4,882,913 kun 32.63 porsiyento sa ilang subscribers.
Sa Abril 10 nga update, ang DICT nipahibawo nga niabot og 65,145,440 sa 168,016, 400 ka subscribers ang nakaparehistro kun 38.77% sa kinatibuk-an.
