A TRICYCLE driver was killed in a gun attack in Lamitan City, Basilan province, the police reported Thursday, April 13, 2023.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Arlan Delumpines, Lamitan City police chief, identified the victim as Munir Jamjali, 29.
Delumpines said that Jamjali was shot to death around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday at Sitio Project in Campo Uno village, Lamitan City.
Delumpines said that Jamajil was driving a motorcycle on his way home coming from marketing preparing for Iftar when flagged-downed and repeatedly shot by the suspect without any provocation.
He said the victim died instantaneously while the suspect boarded on a waiting motorcycle without plate number and sped towards Cabobo village, Lamitan City.
Recovered from the crime scene were four empty shells of caliber .45 pistol and the case is under thorough investigation. (SunStar Zamboanga)
