THE Talisay City Government will begin installing closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV) in public schools, commencing with Barangay Maghaway Elementary School Tuesday, April 25, 2023.

City Councilor Eduardo “Digul” Gullas, chairman of the Committee on Education, thanked his brother, Mayor Gerald Anthony “Samsam” Gullas and the Local School Board for providing adequate funding for the project.

Maghaway Elementary School principal Wyn Elnas stated that the surveillance camera is very helpful, especially that their canteen had been broken into twice without anyone being apprehended.

Talisay City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Arden Monisit revealed that the said equipment will be very useful to the school security personnel. (BBT, TPT)
