More Mabalacat workers deployed to South Korea

CLARK FREEPORT --- Mayor Crisostomo C. Garbo meets on April 27 with Yeoju-si Mayor Lee Choong Woo to discuss the arrival of 18 workers from Mabalacat City.

Yeoju-si Mayor told Garbo that Heongsong, another city under foreign seasonal workers program, that "the Mabalacat workers are hardworking and all of the employers are happy."

For next season, Yeoju-si will hire more from Mabalacat City.

Lee suggested that both cities should enter into a sisterhood agreement so they can explore more partnership.

Garbo welcomed the idea and recommended english programs for Korean students as another area to explore.

This program is in support of the education tourism that Mabalacat City College is pioneering for the city.

After the meeting, the two mayors were joined by other Korea community art members.

They presented to Garbo some art works and books about Korean culture.

Garbo appreciated the gifts and instructed the MCC president to include them in the library collection.

The meetings were arranged by MCC Korean Relation Officer Miss Sunny Han in cooperation with Songho University.
