AN ORGANIZATION of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) on Saturday, April 29, 2023, called for justice for the four migrants who died in a fire that struck a food factory in Taiwan.

In a statement, Migrante International appealed for assistance after the deaths of four OFWs during the blaze last Tuesday.

"As we are about to commemorate the International Labor Day, we call for justice and immediate assistance to the families of the victims," said Migrante.

On the other hand, the group offered its condolences to the families of the OFW victims.

"We express our deepest sympathy to the families and loved ones of four OFWS," said Migrante.

According to the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (Meco), four OFWs died after a fire struck a food factory in Changhua County.

Three of the victims died due to suffocation, while the other one passed away while undergoing medical treatment at a hospital.
