We have a medical consultation organized by our doctors who come from the MOH. A circumcision operation was also performed, and free medicine such as vitamins and those with maintenance for hypertension were also given to our compatriots in Barangay Simsiman who were affected by the fighting),” said Sittie Majadiyah Omar, head of Project Tabang Health Ancillary Services.

“Muli po ang project tabang ay handang tumulong sa abot ng aming makakaya upang matugunan ang pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan at kabangsamoro (Once again, the Tabang project is ready to help as much as we can to meet the needs of our countrymen and fellow Bangsamoro),” she added.

Alam po natin na wala silang income sa ngayon dahil sa gulo kaya kahit pambili ng gamot, nahihirapan sila (This medical mission helped to prevent the residents of Brgy Simsiman from getting sick. We know that they have no income right now because of the trouble, so even if they buy medicine, they have difficulty).”

Arba also noted that their village officials are helping the affected families.

The medical mission forms part of the Project Tabang components, which aim to provide free medical services to the BARMM constituents. (SunStar Zamboanga)
