Kapampangan chefs support SM Sunday Market

CLARK FREEPORT—Two Kapampangan chefs have shown support to local farmers in Pampanga.

Chefs Howard Dizon and Leonard Vincent Garcia bought produce at SM City Clark’s Sunday Market.

Dizon is the owner of Diosdado restaurant, which serves authentic Kapampangan cuisine.

Garcia is the chief executive officer of CVGCG which runs Rainforest Kitchen and Chef Baboy Premium Samgyupsal.

The Sunday Market program is aimed to assure the sustainability of farmers' socio-economic development by setting up booths in SM malls.

Participants in the program include SMFI Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan (KSK) farmers and government agencies including the Departments of Trade and Industry (DTI) and Department of Agriculture (DA).

Through the program, farmers get institutional selling expertise by presenting homegrown products such as fresh harvests, associated products (e.g., vegetables, fruits, eggs, rice, local specialties, and processed food), ornamental plants and others.

The Sunday Market at SM City Clark and SM City Pampanga is open every Sunday from 7AM - 2PM.
