CLARK FREEPORT—Fans of accomplished bands SunKissed Lola and Lola Amour were all cheers as the two headlined the recently concluded Castaway Music Festival at SM City Clark.
Olongapo-based SunKissed Lola swept away hundreds of crowd with their hit-song “Pasilyo,” a sweet love song with a waltz melody.
The band, composed of Dan Ombao, Danj Quimson, Laura Lacbain, Alvin Serito, and Genson Viloria, also sang their other hits Paki Sabi, Makalimutan Ka, and HKP, and some cover songs.
And the crowd went wild when Lola Amour took the stage and sang their danceable hit song “Fallen.”
Played with catchy trumpet notes, “Fallen” is a song about the ifs of confessing your love for someone.
Band members Pio Dumayas (vocals, guitar), Zoey Gonzales (guitar), Raymond King (bass), David Yuhico (keyboard), and Angelo Mesina (trumpet) also played their other hits including “Dahan-dahan” and “Raining in Manila.”
In an interview after their performances, the two bands promised fans of new songs and more performances in the coming months.
Aside from the two young bands, DJ Ron Poe mixed music that made festivalgoers dance the night away.
Rising singer Timmy Albert and Dottie’s World also made the music festival a night to remember with their well-written songs.
The Castaway Music Festival 2023 is a series of music events happening across different SM malls in Pampanga.
Next on the list is SM City San Fernando Downtown's Roofdeck on May 19, where guests can catch Orange and Lemons live in action.
The event is set to take place at the Roofdeck, providing a perfect setting for a night of music and fun.
Finally, the Castaway Music Festival 2023 will conclude at SM City Telabastagan on May 21 with guest artists AL James, Lorenz, Ramdiss, Hero, and Jun Tuiz, performing live at Parking E. With a mix of genres, this event promises to cater to all music enthusiasts in the region.
