A MOTORCYCLE driver died after he was hit by another motorcycle along the national highway in Barangay Cabantian, Guindulman town, Bohol around 6 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023.
Guindulman Police Station desk officer Staff Sergeant Rodelio Zamora identified the fatality as Michael Acierto Amora, 44, a resident of Barangay Dampas, Tagbilaran City.
Zamora said the victim was going to Tagbilaran when another motorcycle driven by Ian Niel Dadole Bersano, 22, a resident of Barangay Mayuga, Guindulman, allegedly headed in his direction, resulting in the collision.
The police official said they received information that Bersano, who was reportedly under the influence of liquor, was running in zigzag on his way home after having a beach outing with his friends when the incident occurred.
Amora died instantly.
Bersano was brought to the hospital.
After being treated, he was locked up at the Guindulman Police Station detention cell.
The police are now readying the charges for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide against Bersano. (BBT/TPT)
