A BARANGAY tanod surrendered to Balamban Police Station a day after he shot a police officer at dawn on Sunday, May 7, 2023, in Sitio Butong, Balamban town, midwest Cebu.
Antonio "Tonio" Rabago, a resident of Barangay Buanoy, turned himself at 9:30 a.m. on Monday.
He was accompanied by Buanoy barangay captain Clyde Seblos.
According to Balamban Police Station Chief Lieutenant Colonel Glenn Hife, his men went to the scene after receiving reports that Rabago frequently carried a pistol and had fired a shot.
But when responding policemen arrived, the suspect allegedly opened fire, hitting Senior Master Sergeant Godofredo Dumdum, who is now out of danger. (GPL, TPT)
