CITY OF SAN FERNANDO — Local officials, including Mayor Teddy Canlas Tumang and the Sangguniang Bayan members, led the inauguration of six new vehicles on Monday.
In its social media post, the local government said the vehicles, which included two fire trucks, two multi purpose service vans and two ambulances, were locally funded.
The vehicles were presented to the public during a flag raising ceremony on Monday.
The vehicles were blessed by Santa Monica Parish priest Arnolfo Magdaleno F. Serrano.
The same social media post meanwhile added that Tumang announced that the municipal government is set to award an ambulance or a garbage truck to every barangay of the town.
In total, some 40 ambulances and three garbage trucks will be given to the 43 barangays of Mexico, according to the post.
“These vehicles are timely and relevant especially now that we cannot predict when emergency situations will come, “ Tumang said.
The mayor added that the construction of the New Mexico Municipal Hall and Mexico Convention Center will start soon.
