THE Fisheries Management, Regulatory and Enforcement Division and Regional Fisheries Training and Fisherfolk Coordination Division of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) 7 conducted a comprehensive three-day deputation training for fish wardens in Alburquerque, Bohol on April 25-27, 2023.

The training was done in collaboration with the Municipal Government of Alburquerque.

A group of 16 individuals, aspiring to become Bantay Dagat officers, successfully completed the intensive deputation training for fish wardens, which took place at the Talimbaw Cafe in Barangay East Poblacion, the BFAR 7 said in a press release.

The training aimed to equip the participants with essential knowledge and practical skills that will be instrumental in their future operations as fish wardens.

The training was also participated in by personnel from the Philippine Coast Guard-Alburquerque Substation and the Alburquerque Police Station.

The Afos Foundation sponsored the training.
