A NEWLY listed and watch-listed drug suspects were arrested in separate anti-drug operations in Zamboanga City, the police reported Monday, May 15, 2023.
Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO) director, identified the arrested suspects as Noypi Taala, 31, and Ibrahim Lagayan, 28.
Lorenzo said Taala was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 1 a.m. Monday, May 15, in Purok Seaside, Manicahan village, Zamboanga City.
Lorenzo said seized from Taala were some 12 grams of suspected shabu packed in four heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P81,600, a coin purse, P1,000 boodle money and P300 marked money.
Lorenzo said Lagayan was arrested in another anti-drug operation around 2:28 a.m. Monday, May 15, in Tetuan village, Zamboanga City.
He said recovered from the possession of Lagayan were some 0.6 grams of suspected shabu packed in five heat-sealed plastic sachets worth P4,080 and P200 marked money.
He said the two arrested suspects were detained and charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them. (SunStar Zamboanga)
