THE local government unit of San Carlos City turned over P800,000 worth of multimedia equipment to public schools on Monday.

The Special Program in the Arts of Tandang Sora Elementary School (TSES) received a computer desktop, uninterruptible power supplies, automatic voltage regulators, USB MIDI performance keyboard controllers, and a DSLR camera with a total cost of P200,000 taken from the Special Education Fund (SEF) calendar year 2022.

Meanwhile, the SPA and Arts and Design Track of Julio Ledesma National High School (JLNHS) received powered and portable speakers, wireless microphone systems, microphone stands with folding tripod bases, audio interfaces, condenser microphones,

Musical keyboards, standard microphone stands, sound monitors, lapel microphones, microphone boom poles, sound mixers, studio reflection microphone filters, music sheet stands, compact digital wireless microphone systems, 180W wash lights, light stands, a folding drafting tabletop, camera drones, and gimbals worth P600,000 also taken from the SEF calendar year 2021.

Mayor Renato Gustilo expressed his commitment to supporting the local Department of Education in improving the quality of education and providing the corresponding needs of learners during the turnover at the Julio Ledesma National High School covered court.

He also urged teachers to continue imparting proper etiquette and good conduct since most learners have forgotten their values and respect for people.

Gustilo hopes the beneficiaries would use the equipment properly, especially in developing the students.

JLNHS Principal II Leonardo Dumago Jr. and TSES Principal Belinda Teo said the equipment would help develop potential and skilled students.

Roda Ramas, ADT Class President, said the equipment would showcase the beauty and culture of the city through arts. (PR)
