THE Ministry of the Interior and Local Government in Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MILG-Barmm) inaugurated a state-of-the-art, three-storey police station building in Amai Manabilang, Lanao del Sur.

The new police station building worth P6.25 million was inaugurated on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, and was personally received by Police Brigadier General Allan Cruz Nobleza, Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region director, from Lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, MILG minister.

Nobleza assured that his dedicated police personnel is fully committed to safeguarding public safety as he expressed gratitude for the ongoing support from the regional government.

"Asahan niyo po na mas lalo naming paiigtingin ang aming police visibility, ang aming trabaho para mas lalong matahimik itong Amai Manabilang (Expect that we will intensify our police visibility, our work to make Amai Manabilang more peaceful),” Nobleza said.

The provision of the police station is part of the comprehensive infrastructure support provided by Barmm through MILG aimed at strengthening security and improving incident response within the community.

Amai Manabilang, with an estimated land area of 54,000 hectares, is strategically located on the border of Bukidnon and Cotabato provinces, presenting a significant economic opportunity that Sinarimbo recognizes.

Sinarimbo said that the geographical location of the town should serve as a gateway for mutual benefits and economic growth among its neighboring provinces.

Amai Manabilang Mayor Saidamen Leo Manabilang and Police Lieutenant Dann Alfonso Ducut, the town police chief, expressed their appreciation to the regional government for the essential infrastructure. (SunStar Zamboanga)
