MASANTOL - Some 847 senior citizens in this town received financial assistance from the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

The cash grants were distributed as part of the national government’s Social Pension Para sa Indigent Senior Citizens program.

Each of the beneficiaries received P500 pension per month or P1,500 for the second quarter of the year.

Beneficiaries were reminded to use their cash grants to purchase their daily necessities such as maintenance medicines and supplemental vitamins, and foods.
