BANNERING the theme “Investments for the Future” the upcoming Davao Investment Conference 2023 (Davao ICON 2023) will feature a diverse array of emerging businesses and its potentials in Davao.

Davao ICON 2023 chair Nicole Hao Bian-Ledesma said the three-day event will highlight the emerging business industries that the city needs to know about and go into as a way of future-proofing the economy.

“Our conference aim is to be forward thinking to prepare businessmen not just to succeed today but really more importantly as the pandemic taught us to future proof our businesses hence, we will focus on tourism, manufacturing, agro-processing and ICT (information communications technology) as drivers for growth,” Ledesma said.

The Davao ICON 2023 will be held on July 17-19 at SMX Davao. Spearheaded by the Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industries Inc. (DCCCII) the conference will gather 500 local and international business leaders, CEOs, business investors, and government officials.

Ledesma said this year’s Davao ICON will be inclusive and diversified and will present the vast range of businesses in Davao.

“Davao ICON this year is more diversified, and inclusive, that we showcase the vibrant business community here in Davao wherein we have those from large conglomerates those from homegrown brands, and we are also focusing on women investors, young entrepreneurs, and the start-ups. This will show how vibrant and inclusive our economy and business community here in Davao,” Ledesma said.

The ICON provides opportunities to participants in showcasing their products and also provide a venue to network with fellow delegates. The ICON will have a hybrid setup with face-to-face activities and online platforms.

Ledesma is hopeful that the successful hosting of Davao ICON 2023 will entice more businessman to invest here in the region.(PR)
