TWO drug suspects were separately arrested in anti-drug operations by policemen in Zamboanga City and Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

The Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula identified the arrested suspects as Marc Fortunato Guerrero, 36, of Callejon in Guiwan villages, Zamboanga City, and Kenneth Sanchez, 22, of Poblacion village, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

The police said that Guerrero was arrested around 8:32 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, in Sitio Presa Mayor, Tumaga village, Zamboanga City.

Seized from Guerrero were some 10 grams of suspected shabu with P68,000, a motorcycle, a coin purse and P1,000 marked money.

Meanwhile, Sanchez was arrested around 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, at Julian Soriano Memorial Sports Complex in Poblacion, Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Seized from Sanchez were some two grams of suspected shabu worth P13,600, a sling bag, a cellular phon, and P580 of different denominations.

The arrested suspects were detained while charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them, the police said. (SunStar Zamboanga)
