THE Cadiz City Government distributed P175,000-worth of livelihood loan assistance two organizations from barangays Magsaysay and Zone 3.
Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr. led the turnover of a micro-lending project amounting to P75,000 to Barangay Zone 3 Vendors and Peddlers Association earlier this month.
The project aims to help the members purchase additional stocks, equipment, and supplies for their small businesses.
The Carabao Dairy Association in Barangay Magsaysay also received a loan assistance amounting to P100,000 intended for the consumer's project.
The project involves rice selling, aiming to provide affordable rice to the community while also generating income for the members.
Punong Barangays Heidi Zaldivia of Magsaysay and Tony Albarina of Zone 3 joined the turnover with Shen Villena, Supervising Cooperative Development Specialist and Head of the Cooperative Development Division. (PR)
